Conclusion

Definitely I liked writing a blog about a certain theme weekly, but it takes a lot of time because I have other classes as chemistry and biology that are concentration classes and need more time. Out of this is good writing about things that are currently happening in our world because it helps us to understand how privileged we are in Puerto Rico.

Our World

The planet Earth is our world. Beautiful landscapes, extensive oceans and huge mountains are some gifts from our planet that we, humans, are daily destroying it. Just think about how perfect our world works, in every scenario, how animals immigrate depending on the season, how plant does not even move but they are living beings. Think of every process that every living thing need to go through to survive, how animals eat each other to maintain an ecological balance. It is impressive the many planet that actually exists but we live in this one in specific. That is the main reason why we, humans "thinking animals", have to reduce the contamination , water pollution, and air pollution. Unconsciously or not , we are the main and only one killer that  keeps doing more harm to nature. Politicians are forgetting that power is meaningless without home, our planet.

One of the biggest problems is the carbon dioxide emissions. Last week two of the biggest carbon dioxide emitters countries made a historic climate change agreement, "China and the United States have the largest economies and the highest manufacturing outputs in the world, so it probably isn’t too surprising that these two countries also top the charts in carbon emissions as well. In 2008, these two countries accounted for 42% of all carbon emissions in the world..." " While this might sound incredibly ambitious and has already drawn the ire of some of Obama’s political opponents, many of the necessary policies are already in place and making an impact. The U.S. was responsible for over 7,250 million metric tons of CO2 emissions in 2005, and has reduced that number to 6,525 million metric tons in 2012—a 10% decrease. Political hissy fits aren’t likely to interfere with this goal or current progress." The United States government thinks that this is a good change, but is not! They need to do more effective and drastic changes to reduce this amount of CO2 emission.

Education

Education is a very important tool for humans to success. Since we 're kids teachers teach to learn in a very specific way, measuring our intelligence based on what you remember from last classes and not based on what you really learned and what you can apply. Government should restructure those establishment of grading students. For example, I get a 75% on a test and the professor think that I could did better, she can give me a second chance and give me  more exercises for home in the part that I failed so I can demonstrate that I really learned that part of the concept. I think it is really important to do new things in our education because we are not improving so we are getting frustrated students that consequently they drop out.

Also I want to talk about how sociologically speaking the education is better for the ones who got more bucks. It is UNFAIR for those kids who want to success but just because they don’t got the money they don’t get the education that they need. Imagine how many NewtonsEinsteinsLeeuwenhoeks, we are losing because of the opportunities that poor people don’t have. I think that the government of Puerto Rico have the most poor, in every sense of the word, public education system in America.

Movies

Hey guys I'm going to talk about my favorite movie & I think that we, teenagers, are bounded with one in specific Harry Potter. All my life since a little kid was about waiting until November so I could watch the new Harry Potter movie. I proudly cannot deny that in 2012 (two years ago) when I went to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter I felt like I was on heaven, I bought almost everything, from stickers to scarfs. But let's talk about the movies. There are 7 movies, with a common villain Voldemort, and with the "three musketeers" Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger (my girl), and Harry Potter. The first three movies were based in showing the magic in Hogwarts, and all that magical places on it. then the rest of them were more dark, because the dark forces were trying to destroy Hogwarts and Harry Potter.
What I really can't forget is how I wanted so bad to be in Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. That place was like heaven for me, and for my cousins and friends, we all desirably wanted to be there like living among witches and wizards. I'm like reliving those moments while writing this new post, because I loved everything related to this movie. But one day I realized that what I was doing was not healthy. I remember one summer where I spend half of if watching all the movies like one after one, and when it get to the 7th I like started all over again. OMG I can't believe what I did! When I have children's I will tell them that Harry Potter was the best thing that could happen in my life after them (I don't think so) hahaha joke-joke.

Celebrity

Personally I don't a specific celebrity that in some ways has influenced my life, but someone I like very much is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She started modeling at the age of 15, making a debut with Teen Vogue in New York. With the time she has been modeling all over the world walking in the catwalks of Chanel, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and many other recognized fashion lines. She is married with Jason Statham, a Hollywood actor.
She's the most beautiful woman in the world of entertainment, with her beautiful pink lips and her long curly hair contrasting her skin tone. Rosie is known for being an angel of Victoria's Secret, and by the way one of the most influential models on earth.  She also has a lingerie line that has been a great successful for her career. Ultimately she made her first appearance on the big screen in the movie of Transformer 3. As a debut she made a great work. I really love the way she looks in every photo-shoot and how she exalts in every fashion show that she appear. Rosie is the kind of woman that I would marry and never broke up on her.

Media

We all have seen one time the "perfect" woman prototype through social medias. Everything portrayed by TV shows, Internet, and all this fashion shows are known for using the most beautiful women around the world to attract viewers. This "idea" of portraying the ideal woman through Hollywood movies is one of the main causes of low self-esteem in today's girls. Definitely we all have had this friend who is always comparing herself with the worst and always with low self-esteem. I had one, she was always saying that se was ugly and all those bad thing that girls tend to compare. But one time I get tired and I ask her why she was so unsecured and unhappy about herself, she told me that she was so different to every girl. I didn’t get it, because she wasn’t my type but she were not ugly. With the time we talked about series and movies, and I realized that she was comparing herself with Hollywood stars as Rachel McAdams, Natalie Portman and Jessica Alba. She was convinced that every beautiful should look alike Hollywood stars. And definitely I realized that social media, indirectly, was affecting our society with the concept of "perfect" woman.

Marriage

Hey guys this week post will be about marriage:

Why is marriage so different in 21st century? Is it because this generation does not have that compromise, or it is because religion is no more affiliated with our values? Our parents were raised on a generation where marriage was something very special and sacred, were love was a needed variable. Proposing marriage was a master plan for our fathers. I don’t really know why today’s couples live together avoiding marriage, I cannot tell because I’m only a teenager, but what we see through Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram, and those reality shows isn’t the right thing. I supposed that what we see through television influences in everything what we do and think. In our society we see how this couples (that coexist, and haven’t marry) have children’s and they are happy. There are two points of views in our society… The first: they don’t care about getting married because, they said, they don’t need a paper to “perpetuate” their love. That makes sense because if you are a non-believer you don’t need any supernatural power to unify that marriage, but if you are a believer… A marriage is a very important success in your life for Christians, because you perpetuate yourself with your mate in the name of God. Christians believe that a when you marry that person you have to live for her and always be with her or him. Is not that crazy, being your entire life with that person because you made a “promise” with your mate to God? It is, but for Christians is not impossible. My experience is that I’ve seen my grandparents together for years and they still love each other, even when things aren’t going the way that they expected. So guys at the moment of making that crucial decision be secure of selecting your mate, because remember you are going to share the most important experiences with him or her
